Everyone meet Annie and Elle, two new orphans?

They were saved last night when two AMAZING ladies stopped to report a dog chasing wallabies. They saw the two babies on the ground, picked them up and kept them warm. This is very important when a joey first comes in because if they get cold, their chance of survival decreases dramatically.

When macropods are chased by dogs, they get so scared, they lose control of their pouch muscles. This, unfortunately, results in babies being dropped as they run away. Thankfully the ladies got to the joeys before the dog did. Thank you to everyone who helped, you’re all Wildlife Hero’s!
